The purpose of the meeting is to discuss with Virginia Electric Power Company (the licensee) a proposed license amendment which proposes to change Technical Specification (TS) 3.16 Action B.1.a.3 and extend its Allowed Outage Time from 7 days to 14 days to facilitate the replacement of Emergency Diesel Generator 1 cabling. The cable replacement will require a change to Unit 1 and Unit 2 TS to allow Unit 2 to continue to operate while Unit 1 is in outage, and EDG 1 is out of service for cable replacement. A probabilistic risk-informed approach will be used to support this proposed license amendment.

July 31, 2025, the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) provided specific recommendations for implementing the executive order, including recommendations for enabling faster deployment of modern technology while preserving safety.
